Ubud, Bali

March 08, 2014

In December last year we visited and rang in the New Year in Bali. Lush jungle, hidden temples, mountains, forests, rice fields with rainbows of greens, coffee plantations and monkeys. Oooh the monkeys!

We stayed at the Chedi Club for a week and it was the most relaxing holiday I’ve ever had. The resort is Zen. It’s situated only several kilometers from the center of Ubud- the cultural capital of Bali.

Drinks, sunbathing, reading, poolside naps, spa appointments and a couple of tours were all we had on our agenda… It was a great way to welcome the year and just what the doctor ordered!

Bali was one of the places I have dreamt of going since I can remember. I’m not sure why it took me so long to visit this lovely island. I'm definitely going back!
